Wellington Coffee, nestled at 33A George St in Edinburgh, offers a delightful escape for coffee enthusiasts. The reviews paint a vivid picture of its charm, emphasizing the inviting atmosphere and genuine service. Customer Sophie McCann enthusiastically proclaims it a must-visit, contrasting the experience with larger chains like Starbucks. The standout drink appears to be the flat white, as highlighted by Thomas Dirs, who praises its silky texture and balanced flavors. Their unique hot chocolate, noted by Prajval Umesh Prabhavathi, is an enjoyable choice for chilly days, though a tad hotter would elevate it further. Pastries, such as the indulgent Pain aux Chocolat and berry scones served generously with cream and jam, have garnered acclaim from patrons like Olivia Tomlinson. The café's cozy ambiance invites patrons to linger, fostering a sense of community, while the staff's friendliness ensures every visit is memorable. Overall, Wellington Coffee is a gem that excels in quality brews and treats. With each review, it’s clear this small establishment holds a special place in the hearts of locals and tourists alike, making it a recommended stop while exploring Edinburgh.

Amazing coffee - definitely worth a visit! Why would people sit across the road drinking a Starbucks when they can cross the road and have an AMAZING coffee!

A unique hot chocolate perfect for the Scottish weather PS: I would have preferred the hot chocolate to be a bit hotter.

Wonderful little coffee shop below Penhaligons. What it lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere with small tables nestled next to one-another. The flat white was as I like it with silky textured milk and rounded extraction, not too bitter or sour. Beans were on the robust side but not dark. Pastries were fresh with the Pain aux Chocolate rich and luxurious. Been back multiple times and always consistently good.

Wonderful place not far from the National Gallery. The berry scone was delicious and massive, served with a generous portion of cream and jam. Coffee was lovely, and the staff were extremely sweet :)

Cosy and worm cafe. Staff are very friendly and their sweets are just great. Although they don't have filter coffee, their Americano is good. Recommended.

When we visit the cafe, there weren't any available seats in the morning because it was already packed with people. This means how popular the place is! So we queued for a while and finally enjoyed a cup of coffee. I recommend the croissant than scone

The cafe is small but very charming. It has wonderful pastries and excellent coffee. I ordered a cortado and enjoyed every sip, and the price was reasonable. Prices here are affordable, whereas coffee is very expensive in my country.

Great experience, high recommended. A cafe where you feel that it is something special, extremely beautiful and more interesting than any other. It's actually quite ordinary, tiny and quite dark because it's below pavement level. But if you sit there, order coffee and scones with butter, watch the hustle and bustle of the street through the window and enjoy the atmosphere, you'll be very happy. I promise you that.
